I’m Shawna Akin and I’m wholly dedicated to science in skincare. That’s the foundation of everything I do. I work with a team of internationally recognized plastic surgeons and other aesthetic providers to educate on scientific skin care and advanced skin analysis. My goal is to help everyone understand how to achieve healthy, younger-looking skin by applying scientific principles based on years of empirical research and clinical analysis.
I’ve spent most of my working life as a skincare professional at a very senior level with plastic surgeons, and as a business person. I’ve been through many journeys with products and treatments, thinking I’d found the answers only to discover that they had very little foundation in science and that some were even harmful. I am now passionate about the truths I’ve found based on in-clinic research on patients where I witnessed demonstrable positive changes.
This site, my public talks, webinars, events, training, blogs, social media feeds, and media appearances, are dedicated to informing, training, educating, and enabling others. I will give you the facts, untainted by loyalty to any brand.
My passion is the truth about skincare. I have devoted my life to it.
